Real wood verse laminate in guitars???!

Question:

Real wood verse laminate in guitars???

Im thinking of buying a Breedlove AD200 which has solid wood top but laminate back and sides.
Then i also found a good deal on the Breedlove AD20 which has solid back and top.
Does the back and top really make a better sound or what?

Answers:

It all has to do with tone.

Kim Breedlove does a lot of work when it comes to tone and material usage, and although I don't always agree, they do their homework.

You will find that both solid and laminated backs and sides (always buy a guitar with a solid top) age very well, but you will often notice that a laminated setup will provide a more consistent tone over the life of the guitar. Solid guitars tend to be more mellow while laminated models are brighter and tighter.

Always make sure that you keep your guitar in a hardshell case and purchase an in-case humidifier... especially if you buy a full solid instrument since they are very sensitive to changes in humidity and temperature.
