Does Frank Zappa sing on the first two albums?!

Question:

Does Frank Zappa sing on the first two albums?

It credits Roy Collins, but it sounds like Zappa is in there somewhere also, because most of the vocals are doubled.

Answers:

There is a difference between dubbed, doubled, and duet.

I have Every Zappa CD on rycodisk and a few more from other sources. about 70 CDs in all. (some are double or triple or quad).
I will go listen to these two CDs right now and report back in a short time.
Freak out (1965, released 1966)...
1. Hungry Freaks. duet with RAY Collins. (ROY Estrada)
2. tracks 1-9 are duets with Frank.
10. I'm not satisfied. Finally Frank sings the lead here.
12. Trouble Every Day. Franks voice is dominant here. A very young Frank voice.
13. Help I'm A Rock. Frank's low moans, and several spoken lines.
14. The Return of... "Suzy Creamcheese, what's got into ya?"

and ABSOLUTELY FREE (1966, released 1967)?
1. Track one. Frank's voice spoken narration, then sings to the tune of Louie Louie.
5. Call Any Vegetable: Frank's spoken voice narrations.
7. same as above
8. Big Leg Emma: a duet with Frank
The rest seem like duets, but I recognize Frank in all of them. Track 14, Brown Shoes, sounds like Cap't Beefheart too.

I hope this helps you..
