Question:

Where can i sell my new and unused drum set with out getting ripped off?

i have a brand new drum set less then 2months old set it up once banged around for a couple of hours and havn't touched it since where can i sell it at without losing a load of money because pawnshops only want to give me like $200 for it and its worth about $500 im in a tight spot right now and i kind of need the money so can someone please help me out

Answers:

Unfortunately, you probably will take a hit on a resale, regardless of how "new" and "unused" the set is. Musical instruments are often a lot like cars. Once you "drive them off the lot" they lose a significant amount of value.

That said, you should certainly be able to get more than the pawn shop offered you.

Try posting an ad on craigslist. You may be able to move it fast and still get a decent sum for it.

If you paid around $500, don't expect much more than $400.
