Brendan benson?!

Brendan benson?

jack white seems to get all of the credit in the raconteurs, but brendan is a great musician. have any of you heard of him or his solo music? patrick keeler and jack lawrence also play in a great band called the greenhornes and they both played with loretta lynn on her album "van lear rose".

i really like the greenhornes. and i think van lear rose is a great record. i read on the cd, loretta saying it's the first time she wrote all the songs on a record. and i saw that the guys from the greenhornes played in her back-up band, the do whaters, along with jack of course. i think he gets all the praise cuz of the popularity of the white stripes. i know that brendan benson put out some solo records... even before the white stripes hit i think. i don't own them. i think he is really good. infact, i think i'll go download some of his stuff. i like his voice and he's a damn good guitar player. jack kept insisting the raconteurs were a band, not HIS side project. but people will stick to the A'SS of what is hot, like a bowl of grits, you know? I remember awhile back you mentioning a band called BLANCHE, and i just heard them the other day. i like 'em alot. you sure know the good sh*t.
