Can I have some guitar-related help?!
Question:
Can I have some guitar-related help?
I wanted to play the guitar, and I still want to, I bought a good one, I learned how to play (The God Father) , it's pretty easy, but I was asking If you think that books and practice can get me somewhere, I bought a book named (The complete Idiot's guide to playing the guitar), the title sounds well!!, I know it needs a lot of efforts, so should I start working on it? or is it just a waste of time, after all with the circumstances In my country I don't think a guitar teacher is an option right now, thank you.
Answers:
Excellent Professor Longhair! I have to agree fully. I would like to add, though, that I learned a few chords from a book when I first started. Since then, I have always played by ear.
There's many ways to do it. I came from a poor family that couldn't afford lessons for me. But, like Professor Longhair said, I would practice between 3 and 8 hours a day! I am not the guitarist, at all, that I would like to be.
If I could do it all over again, my family would've had money so I could've taken Music Theory and Classical Guitar classes. Something to think about.
Hope this helps. Enjoy!
