i have this school assignment were i have to teach the class about a shakespeare play but i want to make it interesting.. what assignment ideas could i do to make my presentation more interesting.. like a puppet show!

One of the best ways I've seen puppets used for Shakespeare was done by my friend Clay Martin. He would take tragedies (it's always funnier with a tragedy) and shorten them down to 5 minutes, using the lines that were absolutely necessary. If you want an idea of how to do this watch "The Complete works of Shakespeare Abridged" a humorous stage play where three guys act out all of the plays in one two hour play...they do all the comedies in a five minute speed round using dolls. Why? Because it's always funnier to shorten, abridge and make fun of the tragedies--so they blow through the comedies so they don't have to spend time on them.
I've also seen another group at a Ren Faire do something similar called "Shakespeare's Bloody Bits" where they performed all the fight and death scenes in rapid order. It was very funny and fun. When you want to teach something...it's best to make it fun. They'll remember because you made them laugh.
Since you are the only performer...I'd make you the main victim in the piece and have the puppets play the other parts that pick on you. I'd make them two funny generic puppets that just change costumes to "help" you teach while picking on you big time. Maybe with a full-sized foam sword they keep hitting you with to "kill" the character they are making you play at the time.
