Anyone know the best music producing software?

I am an aspiring musician (indie). I write my own lyrics and I put tune to it however I am not instrumently skilled. I want to produce my own album, but I was looking for a kind of software where you sing your song and the computer automatically generates an instrumental melody to it. Then you can take it and do more things with it like a beat and sound effects. I know that this sort of thing exists, but I was wondering would anyone know the best software for this. Like I said, I want to produce my own album. I think it's more fun and you have more freedom when you do. Can anyone help?

I don't know about the best. I use CoolEdit but it doesn't come with samples or loops. I download those separately and add/modify what I need. The best way, IMO, is to get a midi keyboard and learn to play the tunes you create, if you want to be a real musician. Or spend hundreds on a complicated program that requires an expensive cpu (and possibly motherboard, etc.) upgrade and a difficult learning curve. Believe me, it is not as easy as just copying and pasting samples. If you want someone to recognize you and make it big, it will take more effort. If you have the money to produce your own label, then go for it. It's a shot in the dark, with so many others doing the same thing, but who knows, you could be the next Bjork.
