How does a DISC JOCKEY ( DJ) actually work ?!

Question:

How does a DISC JOCKEY ( DJ) actually work ?

Answers:

take one record, let it spin. Take another that fits nicely to the other record. Synchronize the beats per minute (BPM) using the pitch, resulting in two records playing simultaneously on your headphones, and one playing for the audience.
Next thing, start at the beginning of the second record (not currently playing), and kill the lower frequencies. At the break of the song that is playing, you open half of the fader of the second song so that you hear in in the backgroud. Next break you open in fully. Break thereafter you kill the lower frequencies of the song that was playing before, and open the lower frequencies of the new song (with the equalizer of course). Then fade the old track out (finishing at yet another break), et voila: you've mixed your first record.
Of course there are tons of other ways to do it, but these are the basics...
