Born in Birmingham ages ago and I love it. Went to school there, lived there, worked there, drank there and clubbed there. (BTW - Noddy Holder is not from Brummagem , he's a Yam Yam ! )
I remember Ozzy Osbourne from Aston, Dexy's , UB40, going to the Cedar Club and Barbarella's ( ask yer Mum ! )
I remember shopping in Brum when New Street and Corporation St were the only place to go ( No Bull Ring or Selfridges ) - the Bull Ring was an outdoor market ! ) and , get this , Broad Street had only one pub on it and everyone drank in the Mulberry Bush and The Tavern In The Town.
No, I would never leave. Birmingham is Bostin' !
