Question:

I was watching a golden ere black and white film with Humphrey Bogart?

the other day Called 'Across the Pacific' or something, doesnt matter what but I noticed every person in every scene almost was somking a cigarette, there was smoke all over the place.
You just dont see people smoke in films any more, full stop theyve replaced smoke with sex scenes now. What vice will be flavour this next golden era ?

Answers:

Humphrey Bogart's film was made a decade or two before sexual revolution. When the 60s came everything changed including the trend in films. Producers realized that sex sells so we've been having this "trend" for over 40 yrs and i don't see it changing in the near future. From horror to comedy, films that have controversial sex scenes are the ones making it big in the box office.

I can only foresee more and more of it in mainstream films coupled with violence and more illegal drug themes which lead me to think that the world is gonna be worse than it is today since young people tend to apply music and film in real life. If they see it as cool, they'll do it, without thinking twice. I just hope there will still be censorship 50 years from now or else the world will be in total chaos.
