One of the simplest ways to copyright something is to mail to yourself whatever you want to copyright. Send to yourself certified, return receipt requested. Then put that in a safe place.
I am sure there are other ways, but this way works. Just make sure your document is dated, notarized too, if possible then just send to yourself the way I suggested.
