1) If you are loking for an electric, then Dean makes some relatively inexpensive guitars that are great for beginners. If you want an acoustic, then your best bet is a Dean or an Ibanez, both of which are usually pretty cheap.

2.) I don't live in Toronto, or Canda for that matter, but I'm sure if you search around a little, you're bound to find a music store somewhere. Also, you might want to try browsing the Internet a little to see if there are any music stores in your area.

3.) Finding a guitar teacher might be a little difficult. If you find a music store, you may want to ask them if they give lessons, or if they know of anyone who does. You could also ask your friends, coworkers, etc. if they know of anybody.
