I need suggestions for some less expensive, large scale summer events. I have a huge parking lot available.?

I am a marketing coordinator at an outdoor lifestyle center,,,I need to occupy a large parking lot while a store is being renovated. Need events for families. Any ideas?

Crafter's fairs, Art shows, awareness events where you have children's activities like face painting, pony rides, etc. where everyone has fun while you're teaching them awareness about an issue you find important (child abuse, drugs, internet safety, animal rights, environment, or whatever) maybe workshop events where you can have a theme (hiking for example) and have classes taught by volunteer people experienced in the area, or maybe a neighborhood watch 'block party' done will several barbecues and potluck style.... hope this helps!! :)
