Would it be sad to go to a concert alone?

i really want to go to a concert but none of my other friends seem to like the artist. i've asked nearly everyone i knew and they kept saying no. i even offered to pay for half of their ticket and they still stated no. so what should i do. i have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the band of my dreams live. but i might have to go the concert alone. should i or shouldn't i go?

You should definitely go. It's always more fun when you have someone to go with, but don't miss out on life when others are not available. I know people who are afraid to go to movies alone, eat out alone. It's sad the people worry that much about what other people are thinking, when in reality most people are busy worrying about their own lives and don't have time to notice who is with someone and who is not. When you go out alone, sometimes you meet people that you otherwise would not have, because when you are with friends, you don't force yourself to socialize with strangers. Trust me, if you go alone, you won't be the only one who does.
