Well, before you play any song on a Guitar, it is essential to know the basics. Also, when you're holding a guitar, keep in mind that playing music comes from the heart. Not only from the ears. It doesn't matter what style or genre you want to play, as long as you have the expression and the means to back you up.
If you do decide to go on further, at first, playing guitar will be a very painful experience. Especially to your left hand. If you practice your fingers and your ears by playing notes, chords, scales, etc... regularly, you will see a drastic change on your fingers everytime you play the instrument.
Have fun while playing the guitar. Also, I advice you to get an Instructor to teach you or enroll in a music school that would give you adequate guitar lessons.
