do i pick it up and throw it out the window or do i just throw myself out the window after i bang my head off the wall another 20 times ahhhhh.... any ideas that dont involve using the bloody disc drive!!! Additional Details

when i put in disc .. nothing
when i try to find the driver to uninstall it and install it again ..nothing
the bloody computer cant find it and im sitting here looking at it ... thats it , its going out the window !!!!!

its the one that is on the heap of crap already thats not doing anything ..please dont tell me to put on another one my poor head is just not able for anymore!!!

What disc driver? Maybe it's a hardware fault. Anyway, Comet are selling a dual-processor laptop for ￡399. Go down and get one before your head or the wall gives. Oh. You Tart. What do you mean - your disc driver?
Are you talking about a CD drive? Writer? Read only? DVD drive? Writer? Read only? Or a genuine old fashioned 3.5 inch diskette drive - or are you really talking about a driver for one of these?
What is or isn't it doing? (noises? lights? won't go in/come out? won't copy/play? error messages? won't load? - the list is endless!)
Love to help - but my crystal ball is remaining cloudy at the moment! box it up and lob it out the window my hubby says!are you adding a second drive or or is the computer working at all he asks?
