Whether Afternoon sleep is injurious to health. If yes what r the side effect.If no what r the advantages.?



Answers: if u wake up late in the morning , sleeping again in the afternoon will meke u feel lazy and gain weight! also if u sleep long hours in the afternoon u wont be able to sleep at night and it will effect ur body clock.
but if u wake up early in the morning , it is good and healthy to have an hour nap in the afternoon to restore ur energy! what is this doing under the music section??

but to answer your question:
my best guess would be that since you're sleeping in the afternoon, that you won't sleep at night for very long or very well, causing fatigue during the day which would result in poor performance at work/school etc resulting in being fired/failing which equals poor success Is it entertainment and music question? first of all what has afternoon siesta got to do with entertainment and music section.
secondaly it is good for health.
dont beleive in any other rumours.

have a good afternnon sleep every day, if u can. i do it daily and am hale and hearty Sleep is an act of the body that replenishes our brain with fresh fluid and other necessary material that is required for it to function properly

Basically when we do ANYTHING at all, we use up the oxygen that is sent to the brain

So to replenish this oxygen supply, we have to take a break from intensive thinking and the easiest way to do that is by sleeping....in fact scientists have proved that even 20 minutes of sleep is very beneficial for a person

So sleeping can never be bad for you, whether it is during night or day...unless the place where you do it is your office with a tough boss or while driving or while.....you get it right??

But that does not mean you should start sleeping during the day instead of during night, this may be harmful as the day sleep is an interrupted sleep [due to all the activity going on around you] so you may suffer from lack of proper sleep

So I think you should sleep during the afternoon but do it in moderation, say about 2 to 3 hours at the most..

Finally....just one question....why put this question under the entertainment and music section??

Afternoon sleep is essential for those people who do heavy work at night.For peole doing moderate work it can be cut short to "AFTERNOON REST."Hence, it has its own advantages and disadvantages.If you are a student, then it would be better to take afternoon rest rather than sleep. It's certainly injurious to health.You will get very fat.I'm a living example. It is good.

Prevents me from sleeping during the night classes.
