Answers: I'd been having wetting problems ever since a car accident I had. Then, after a suicide attempt, I was put on antipsychotics, which have caused me to wet myself uncontrollably. I'm pretty much going to the bathroom every 15 minutes. I'm being forced to stay in a mental hospital for a little while, and I'm afraid they might make me wear diapers. Is that possible? Sometimes I don't even feel it coming, and my pants are soaked, so it's not even always a matter of getting to a bathroom on time. I have no choice in the matter of going. I'm being ordered to go. Can they really force me to wear diapers, though?

Not the baby type of diapers. They are more like shorts, but are padded. You will not mind them at all. Lots of seniors wear them when they go out, just in case of a wetting accident.

Well if you won't wear the diapers at your free will, then who do you expect to clean up after you when you wet yourself? I cannot understand why you would rather wet your pants than wear a diaper. I would chose the diaper. Then I wouldn't be standing in a puddle with wet pants where everyone else can see it.

Since you yourself admit that you have an extreme situation that is a problem, I would think that in a hospital setting you would appreciate the necessity for you to wear protective undergarments so that you are not constantly soaked in urine and urinating on the bed you sleep in and any other furniture that you come into contact with. This would be something that is a solution to the problem until a better solution comes along. Whether that is a chemical solution relying on medication or surgical, there has to be treatment for your condition that offers you some dignity as well as social acceptance. They can indeed make you wear the diapers if it is overall the best solution for you and everyone else concerned.
