As with any anonymous medium such as this, it will be rife with abuse. Neighbors will attack neighbors without true cause, exaggerating or just making things up for whatever reason. Kids (and grown ups...) will post incorrect information, because they think it's funny. There are so many ways for this to cause more problems than it solves, you'd be hard pressed to list them all.

It still comes back to knowing and talking to your neighbors. Most of us no longer know many of our neighbors, for a variety of reasons, and even when we do, society seems to frown upon frank discussions about issues without nastiness and attacks entering into it. I'm always surprised at how quickly people can seem to become offended and react defensively, as opposed to thoughtfully listening and considering all sides.

If all else fails and you can't resolve your differences, so what?!?!?! Who says you or anyone else always has to "win" every situation? Go about your life, knowing that you tried your best to resolve whatever it was and do good things.

Be good...

btw, Imagine trying to sell your house after you've told the world how rotten you think all your neighbors are. It won't matter at that point who said what. Once you've said it online, it can never be taken back!
