Can you hang-glide in the rain?!

Question: Yes, you can but you will not have as much lift as you would on a dry day. Water as a gas has a much lower density then air (roughly 5/8ths) so when it is raining the air at saturation point, the water in its gas state and the normal air mix have less density, less lift. You will need to fly faster to hold the same altitude.

Plus the glider will gain weight with the water on it. And the critical air foil shape may be affected by water on the wings.

But you can still fly if you get your take off speed a little higher to compensate for these 3 factors.

Notice I haven't said anything about visibility.
