He had/has many guitars, some examples include:

1. A black Gibson guitar (GIBSON J-180) which was stolen from him house back in the 70's.

2. An "Ovation 1614 Folklore", which he used in his legendary "Majicat" tour back in 76.

3. A Spanish "Ortega" nylon string guitar with cutaway and a electronic pickup system.

4. A Hagstorm BJ12 (used it in both the KCET and BBC 1971 TV concerts)

5. J-200 ("Tea for the Tillerman Live" and "the Old Grey Whistle Test on BBC")

6. He used somtimes a "Custom Balladeer 1712 "

7. a Gibson ES-355 Stereo

8. He recently used a "Gibson J200" in the Porchester hall concert (he plays now under the name Yusuf Islam).
