Try HotUKDeals....users list bargains they find all day long so best to check everyday since you will find some real bargains on there that make great presents. That's if you live in the UK of course.

Oh Also find-dvd.co.uk is the place to find the cheapest price for dvd's.

For games try gamestracker.com - As well as listing the current cheapest prices for a game it also tracks them long term so it emails you when it's reduced in price (for your chosen games to watch).

Try ebay

Try EB games, they always have alot of used dvd's really cheap, or wal-mart, they always have that huge bin of dvd's for sale.

Any where online that sells them used and has free or cheap shipping. eBay, amazon, etc.

The 99p shop...my one always has DVDs & box sets...can't get cheaper, its great!

www.play.com do cheaper than the shops. They do free delivery to the UK and provide a very quick service. They are 100% reliable.

check pound shops and market stalls

right now there is a huge sale at HMV on dvds
check 99p store for kids books believe me sometimes they have great ones for under a £

If you want to give something meaniful this year, try charity.

Each year, instead of buying presents, I donate to a specific charity.

If you want to do somethign like this AND control your budget, donate your time - volunteer a set amount of your time with a local charity, on behalf of your family & friends.

Ebay or Record & Tape traders

eBay or Amazon-shopping in the comfort of your own home!

Last year I got some great dvd sets at Wal-Mart. I get notices online with specials. Hubby loves Lord of the Rings & Tremor. I got him a boxed set of each (7 movies total) for $36. total with shipping. LOTR set alone was $69. elsewhere w/o shipping costs added.

He also likes old movies of westerns, horror & sci-fi so I bought him a bunch of old ones from Wal-Marts & only a dollar stores for $1. each.

There are other cheaper routes to go than dvds. One mag. online from Hearst sent me an offer for a yr's gift suscription for $5. My BIL loves anything mechanical but would never think to subscribe to a mag. So he was tickled to death to get a scrip from Popular Mechanics. I spent less on him than I ever have & he loved it more.

Christmas is meant as a time of sharing & giving. Just loading up on a bunch of dvds isn't really a gift. Try focusing on the person-their enjoyment, hobbies, etc. It doesn't have to be expensive just something you know they'll enjoy & actually thought about them before buying.

Try HMV online. I huv had some smashing bargains in the past. They always seem tae huv a 70% off sale. Nae charge fur postage.
