OK so I told my work a little white lie..ok a big one....?!
Question: I told my work that my dad my have had a stroke and i had to go to the hospital to see him. now im going back to work. what do i say? What sounds good? (i kno it was DUMB)

Tell them... it wasn't as serious as YOU first thought!
It turned out to be just heart burn!!!
and that... it spooked you enough.... that you may have "changed" after this!!!
(if only your work knew! That you will not use this excuse... unless it were true! right!!!!???)

Why'd you say a stroke? that's pretty serious.....no? did you mean your dad may have had a stroke or he had one? Best thing to say anyways that he has gotten better....Lying is BAD.....and you shouldn't make up stuff like that about people you love or anyone because those things can become reality so quickly and we don't know what hit us!!!! So you gotta be careful
They said it was a mild stroke and they are going to do more tests but it looks like he's ok. They may have to put him on a blood thinner.
If i was your boss and i found out you lied... id sack you... that means fired in your language... bye bye ... have a nice day.
Say that the people around your dad at the time had panicked and thought it was a stroke, when he really just fainted. Or something like that...
Next time, come up with something more broad, if you're going to lie =P.
"Oh thank God...he only had a minor stroke, so I don't think it is really going to affect him much...listen, I really appreciate your concern, but I don't like to talk about it, because it makes me really upset..." (A good lie for a lie)
well i have a cousin and he told his work that his dad got in to a motorcycle accident and took of two weeks and when he went to work everyone asked him how he was doing and he said fine and fired him they found out like a week earlier that his dad was fine
Maybe they won't ask but if they do just say that he's ok and it wasn't a real major stroke.
I am sure that you will think of something, but, the best way is to tell the truth.
