the brokenness you claim

this love story is getting old
i gotta get over you
in order to make it through
i see you all the time
and when i don't, still ur on my mind
i wonder if it was real
u had ur shot
but u had to leave it
and when u did you tore my hearts into pieces
but if ever asked why i love you, i have plenty of reasons
i am healing and healing and healing
but no matter what, you left a scar on my heart
i want you. i need you
but i cant take you back
i want to, but we had our reasons
the reasons i firmly believe in
my heart is gated and locked
i wanna let you in, but u gave back the key
and as easily as i gave it to you the first time
i could again, but that would be a crime
i have to care enough about me
to stand up strong and to carry on
i never thought id get so close
to any boy, especially you
however i did, and i cant take it back
but even if i could, i never would

I think that there is an obvious level of emotion being portrayed and the disjunctedness connects with that emotion.
I would like to see a little better orginization.
very deep and really sad but you can never take any real love back once it has been given it will always be there for the rest of eternity or it was never love, be more careful as to what you consider love to be
