It always surpises me when I get a best answer. I just try and think about the question and answer it in the best way I can.
I do like some of the discussion a good question generates. Yahoo answers does seem to be a good debating medium and I have learned some things I didn't know by reading answers by other people.

Yes it's nice to be rewarded for your efforts. All work and no pay makes for an unhappy answerer. I do my best, nothing else would be good enough.??
