Who was that woman who died from meeting someone on MySpace?!

Question: It wasn't Ann Svidersky, 'cause she wasn't killed because of MySpace. I believe this woman wanted to meet up with a photographer, and the guy ended up killing her after they met.

I think you're referring to Taylor Behl, a 17 year old college freshman who was strangled and killed by Ben Fawley, an amateur photographer, while allegedly having rough sex with her. But even if they were friends on LiveJournal and MySpace, she first met her killer in the real world, as stated in CrimeLibrary:

"The truth was that Taylor Behl had met Ben Fawley through 'real-world,' as opposed to Internet connections. Fawley used the Internet to maintain his own interest in Behl, to gain her attention, after meeting her when she visited Richmond while still a high school senior to check out VCU. Ben Fawley registered for a myspace.com profile under his "Skulz" screen name months after he met Taylor Behl. Taylor was one of Ben's handful of 'friends' listed on his own profile".

This is her myspace profile:

and a full account of her murder investigation:

But there's this case of Josie Brown who at age 27 (a single mom) was murdered by John Gaumer, 23, a former UMBC student, by beating her up on their first date. They met on MySpace.

May these two young women rest in peace.

I hope these tragedies would serve as a lesson for everyone out there to be really careful when meeting total strangers and when with a person whom they're not sure to trust.
