If so, then Slipknot's a pretty good bet. They have really fast, aggresive songs on the same album as slower, more relaxed songs. The only reason why they're classed as Nu Metal is because they cross such a wide number of metal genres! I know people who hate metal with a passion that have loved songs like Vermilion Part 2, and have been amazed when I've told them who it is.
