And also, not ALL the writers wanted to go on strike. But they're standing up for each other, so they're all going on strike.
The REAL people to worry about as a result of the writers strike are all those people that have other jobs on the shows, like the people who do the behind-the-scenes stuff and are living paycheck to paycheck or who don't have heaps of money like many celebs do.
We should all be less interested in Hollywood. I think they could get paid a bit more and actors a bit less.
I want to really know why Britney Spears can't afford to pay in full for a house and instead pays 50 some thousand a month in mortgage. I understand she doesn't currently invest but I am sure she has investments from her teen idol days. It might take some time but surely she can liquidate some of it and properly buy a house!
I'm glad the writers and standing up to protect their work. They should be entitled to profit from all means of distribution of their work.

I feel that the writers are right for standing up for themselves. They are exercising their right to say hey we're mad as hell and we're not taking it anymore. I mean come on they deserve a little more pay and more benefits.
You support the fat-cat studios over the people without whom they would be nothing??? GO WRITERS!
