Why do people believe EVERYTHING they read?!

Question: Are people aware that the "facts" of wikipedia.org are not always the truth? Anybody could write anything on their and at times is true but most of the time it is false. When America's NExt Top Model season 8, where Jaslene wins, it had stated that Jael would win and Jaslene would be runner up....obviously that wasn't true. There are so many lies on there. Why do people insist on putting wikipedia.org as a reference to prove their answer when half the time the stories are false?

Because most people like thinking they are educated without having the motivation or responsiblity to make sure they really are.

Because if it is on paper it has to be true!
