Rolf Harris, love his paintings, and he's so fantastic with animals. We named our dog after him as a joke because when Rolf was on Animal Hospital, he was like some sort of dog magnet! They just adore him! Which makes me think he must be a jolly nice bloke.
Our dog used to leave his dinner, run in and watch Rolf on Animal Hospital, then go back and eat his dinner when the programme had finished!
Both have done a great deal for charity an never forget their fans.
Without Jimmy Saville [Sir Jim] we would never have had Jim'll Fix It - which did a massive amount to help where help was really needed. It was not just all a load of laffs. Much more to it.
I have not forgotte Sir Jim's long march for charity from John O'Groats to Lands End - brilliant.
Likewise, Rolfie has done a load for charity, raising awareness etc. Rolf was entirely responsible for bringing the art of painting, mostly big, to the attention of awestruck British public, mostly live on TV. Brilliant.
Rolf did a portrait of HM a while back, part of which was shown on the telly.
