Anyone else tired of NBC's "Jesus Awareness" month already?!

Question: Some NBC execs thought it would be great to have all their shows explain why it's important to know and follow the gospel of Jesus, and in every one of their nightly programs, they have some Jesus message included.

For example, from last night:
"My Name Is Earl" -- Earl has to do a scared straight program for a school, but the warden insists they also include how kids can make their lives better through an understanding of Jesus.

"The Office" -- The boss goes out into the woods to emulate Survivorman. In his video diaries, he espouses how finding Jesus helps him to survive.

"30 Rock" -- They do a show about Jesus and the Pope shows up to offer advice.

"Scrubs" -- The janitor becomes born again and tries to convince the staff that they need to come to Jesus.

"E.R." -- One of the doctors espouses the virtues of making Jesus a part of his life.

OK, really it was Envirofundamentalism vs. Jesus, but it's EXACTLY THE SAME THING. It's preaching a religion!

Enough!!!

I was not aware of this.

I believe NBC has doen this before, with several different topics.

I guess I have a concern with attempted "indoctrination" or "consciousness raising" deliberately embedded in every show, no matter what the issue.

TV sitcoms are for entertainment and the writing on these types of shows - "message" episodes - tends to be ham-handed.

But i didn't see any of these, so I don't know specifically.

i thought the office was hilarious. gotta love that micheal scott. and of course the jim and pam duo.

I am so happy to hear that. For those that don't want to see this type of programming......there are countless other channels to watch. It beats tuning in to tv shows and having to see the sex scenes and the violence that most of them are popular for.
To me it is not preaching a religion. It just giving people their options and Jesus Christ should be one of the options.
Hooray for NBC!

nope. im tired of black history month.

You watch way too much TV.

It is my blief that only those who have no faith choose to complain when someone else exercises theirs. I for one as a Bible believing Christian am happy to see a National Television Network have something good to say concerning our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is my opinion.
