Cakewalk studio intsruments or apple garageband?!

Apple's garageband is very user friendly. I prefer more flexability, but sometimes its fun to just doodle. If you are a musician and need to record audio as well as arrange samples, I might lean toward Cakewalk.
If you want to find some place in the middle, I suggest FruityLoops. I have friends that have had success with that program becuase it comes with a ton of samples and you can record your own audio. However, you can make whole song without having to record anything if you don't have an interface. Have fun!
