They are the best ones out there. More variety, 24 hours a day, good sound quality most of the time, and the best bit - lots of them are for free !!!
Personally i love to have it all so I subscribe to one major radio station site that carries about 10,000 different broadcasts.
My favorite is 'Gork Radio' which features D.J.sets from some of the world's top artists.
There's something for everyone on the net.
The best bit is that it doesn't matter where you live. All you need is a phone line.

I love my online streaming radio! I get a free subscription to Comcast Rhapsody with my internet. There are a ton of different genre radio stations on there, so whatever my mood is. I also can customize my own station. You choose 10 artists, then Rhapsody plays other things it thinks you might like based on your selections. My favorite right now, that I listen to at home and at work, has the following: Harry Connick, Jr, Ben Harper, Barry Manilow, Jennifer Knapp, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Jamie Cullum, Casting Crowns, Carrie Underwood and Ayiesha Woods(your suggestion, even though you didn't know it!)
