Rephrasing to my first question. It's still an easy 10 points.?!

Question: What are the pros and cons of teaching the Great Gatsby in school?

Answers: What are the pros and cons of teaching the Great Gatsby in school?

Well, the pros would be that you would be able to show the extent of the morale decay taking place in the 1920's via the characters Tom and Daisy's reckless abandonment for human life and overall lack of better judgment, something that faded along with inhibitions as money flowed freely and power came to those with it. Another pro would be that students are reading one of the 20th Century's greater literary works as Fitzgerald dwarfs almost all others with his mastery of syntax and diction, telling a compelling story.

As for the cons, I'm not sure, when I first read the book, it was extremely boring and doesn't really pick up until the end, so students will just rely on Spark Notes or just not read the book. Only a small group will really appreciate the book the first time through so it might come as a waste.
