Questions about moshing?!
Question: hey, this is kinda embarassing because i feel like i should know this, but i don't really. so please bare with me.
well, i'm going to a show on saturday night, just local gig. and my friend who is a guy is going with me. and he's bringing the guy i like so this is important to me.
this place is known for it's awesome mosh pits. except i'm nervous about moshing...never done it before. don't know if i'll have a problem with it. i'm a girl. so should i hang back? do you ladies out there advise me to stay clear so i don't get sweaty and gross? will i get punched in the face? what should i wear? and any other advice would be very helpful.

if its a hardcore band, youll probably have to mosh to enjoy !
if its death metal, prolly you just f.u.c.king headbang
but if its like not a screaming vocals, its utterly ridiculous to mosh
if you have piercings, its better to take your piercings out before moshing cuz your holes may get rip, and ive seen people who gauge their ears get torned.
and you should wear shorts or bermudas etc
and its highly recommended that you wear a slip on shoes if you have one, cuz youll feel hardcore with them on.
well in the pit, if you see people just running round pushing/ banging against people its better not to join cuz theyre posers and thats not even moshing..
but if its like people do moves like, jumping and punching , punching or kicking like theyre fighting a ninja, thats called moshing.
well before the music starts you have to get in the pit before they start moshing other wise youd get smack in tha face, seriously.
when your new to moshing, you just punch or kick around like your fighting someone.
cuz theres "moves" in moshing
and GIVE NO MERCY
and if you see theres people on the right and people on the left while the middle is empty and theyre facing each other at the pit.
its called "wall of death"
(this is only for big pits and not small pits)
i promise you that youll want more of this if you join them..
cuz when the music starts, theyll run towards each other like a war than bang each other.
you wont get punch in the face if your careful, and dont get too near to people whos brutalying moshing.
theyre dangerous.
well if you dont wanna mosh, you can just headbang and watch the pit.
but headbang only if its a fast and loud music and screaming vocals. otherwise, its useless to even headbang let alone moshing.
and there will always be mosh fights lol

Girls should not be in the Pit, unless they are manly girls
Don't wear a skirt! Wear jeans. Try to stay out of the pit. It can get dangerous.
If your not tough then STAY AWAY FROM THE PIT!
You WILL get punched in the face. You will get punched in the face at a place with crappy mosh pits. And if a place that's known for awesome mosh pits? Yes you will indeed get punched in the face. Hard. But if you stay towards the outer parts you won't get hurt as much. Then again you could just not join. It really depends on how good you are with handling pain. It can be quite funn because you just go KRAZY!!! I say join and just keep your face down to avoid to much contact with peoples fists. And then there are some mosh pits where people aren't even that bad. Sometimes they don't beat each other up. Its just kinda like there dancing with each other!!!

yeah be careful with people jumping about you might get hit in the face. the weirdest thing that happend to me once a girl twisted my nipple, then started to dance with me lol....once my friend tried a stage dive and everyone ran out of the way so he landed on his face LOL!!!!! it was funny, but painful to him haha.

dont let any guy tell u u shudnt b in there..i hav just as much of a right 2 rock out as they do....just know that yea, u wl prb get hurt in one...i do every time.lol..wear jeans and a shirt and shoes that fit well...dont wanna loose ur shoe...believe me. lol :)
