Films on Sky tv?!
Question: anyone else find the person giving the signe language for the deaf ,very annoying and does it put you off watching the movie,as its very distracting ,or is there a way of viewing the film without having this distraction,.I personnally think Sky should stop this and bring back the option of sub-titles for the deaf,What do you all think?

Totally agree!! It does my head in!! The person covers like half the screen! Why dont they just use subtitles instead! I change the channel as soon as i see the person!
They do have subtitles.
Go into services on the menu and select "subtitles"
EDIT: OK, see what you mean (although the above is still correct). I thought that the signing person on the movies was only there on specific showings, so I would just suggest that if you start watching one and the signing bod appears, check your planner for the next showing and watch/record/Sky+ that one instead.
You're right though... The signing is off-putting for those that don't need it!
At first i did find it annoying, but I've gotten over it. Maybe a deaf person doesn't want to use subtitles and would prefer signed, also some channels don't have the subtitle option.
Yes i totally agree, so annoying, poor deaf people but they should have an option.
There even putting them in the music channels and they dance and everything! So funny!

I don't like signers I find myself watching them instead of the program. I bought tickets for a play in Derby recently and they had a signer on. There was nothing on the web site to say it was a signed performance and totally spoiled it for me. At one stage she gave odds of 5/4 against.
