Qualifications to become a music Producer?!
Question: I am interested in becoming a record producer, like David foster. I am looking at collage , but what degree or courses, ect. would I need and what are some of the best colleges for this? Also how would you go about getting a job as one once you have qualifications, ect?

Dont be Tone Deaf
Go to a specialized college of Arts, Music and Film (private schools)
Send your material out to studios
Demo CD's on your style.
You'll need to learn how to produce music. Oh and you have to provide the money to back up the production.
Basically you need music sense. Work more online to find it out, just Google it out to find something around your location.

I hate to say, but if you have a knack for it--you're in business. Otherwise, it's a waste of your time. You would have to be a talented investor to understand what the market, that is music one, will want; as well as ability to savor talents.
Simon Cowel is a good example.
