What is ANTRA and MUKRA?!


Question: i watch sa re ga ma pa all the time and my hindu is not that good. so, my hindu friends please explain the meaning of the above words with some examples in songs and wich bit of the lyric is ANTRA AND WHICH BIT OF THE SONG IS MUKRA.

*The first two lines of a song , is the "Mukhda"........ the following lines (usually 4) ..... are called the "antara" !!!!

Antara is the ''interval" ..... so, these 4 lines are a sort of interval, till u reach the beginning 2 lines [mukhda] again !!!

Antra is the gap between two words while singing and mukra is the first word used in singing

Well,the first lines of the song are known as "Mukhda"(its not "Mukhra"..)

Similarly,the interlude is known as "Antra"...

MUKHDA is the chorus or first two lines of the song n ANTRA is the paragrafh following the mukhda(chorus)

Mukhra is the starting word of the song.
Antra is the whole stanza.
