Describe a best/good/true friend?!

Question: A true friend does not use his/her problems and woes as an excuse not to be there for you when he/she truly CAN be there for you

They are willing to be on the phone with you in the wee hours of the morning if they badly need to talk to you

They go places and do things in public with you, and bring you around their family and they are not ashamed of your clothes, or your hair, or anything of your physical appearance.

They eagerly help you during your time of need

They know when to say "no", and do it to help you, not harm you, such as a person saying "NO" to a friend because the friend was asking for help in getting drugs or alcohol for the alcoholic

A friend is someone inspires someone to better themselves, not to take the destructive route.

A friend loves you unconditionally, even if they don't agree with who you are

A friend is someone who is willing to put others above themselves and are willing to compromise instead of power struggling.

A friend is big enough to apologize when they done wrong, and readily forgive you if you did something wrong.

A friend is someone who can respect the beliefs of others, even if it's different.

A friend does not forbid you to be open about your feelings and let you cry when you need to.

A friend thinks before they speak

A friend is a total confidante, but knows when it's TRULLY necessary to not keep a secret.

A friend is someone who want to share their innermost thoughts and feelings with you, the kind that most people don't get to know, but intrusts it with you.

A REAL friend does not leave you to do all the calling or all the emailing/writting letters. (I have that happening. And it's with family, too, people not doing their 50/50 of contacting me!)

A real friend recognizes when you are in true need, and are patient with you. They recognize not everything is going to be sunny with you.

A friend respects boundaries. Especially true of friends of opposite genders.

A friend knows when to follow the "some things are better left unsaid" saying. They also know how to be polite when they say something they know the other person's not going to like.

Friends can make up without a grudge.

Friends are sensitive to other people's needs

Friends know how to help you to enjoy life

Friends respect other people in your life NO MATTER how much they cannot stand your relative, other friends, and significant others.

Friends don't break plans with you for time spent with the date or romance partner because they recognize guys/women come and go, but friends are forever! (Or at least a MUCH longer time than date or romances!)

One that knows who you are and still remains your friend. I have plenty of friends, but few best friends, and one true friend and I married her.

***A REAL FRIEND IS SOMEONE WHO IS THERE FOR YOU THROUGH THE GOOD AND THE BAD. A FRIEND IS SOMEONE THAT WILL SIT ON THE PHONE WITH YOU FOR HOURS ON END AND LISTEN YTO YOU VENT AND RANT UNTIL YOU FEEL BETTER. A FRIEND IS SOMEONE THAT WILL LET YOU CRY ON THEIR SHOULDER AS LONG AS IT TAKES. A REAL FRIEND IS SOMEONE THAT WILL NEVER STAB YOU IN THE BACK, OR KICK YOU TO THE CURB FOR ANOTHER FRIEND OF LOVER. A FRIEND IS SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, EVEN AT THE RISK OF TICKING YOU OFF. A TRUE FRIEND WOULD TAKE A BULLET AND DIE FOR YOU IF NECESSARY, NOT THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT THEM TO, OR THQT IT WOULD HAPPEN, UT A TRUE FRIEND WOULD DO IT ANYWAY, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THE BIBLE SAYS THERE'S NO GREATER LOVE THAN THE LOVE OF A FRIEND. THERE'S NO GREATER GIFT THAN FRIENDSHIP.***
