Voice effect on daft punk and etc?????!


Question: hey all, theres a really good sound that i dont know what it is called or what effect it is. daft punk used it a lot,

it kinda turns the vocals into a guitar like sound..

if anyone knows what the effect is please tell me ! :)

I didn't quite hear what you were talking about in that video. A popular effect nowadays is Autotune (lots of mainstream RnB/Rap/Pop artists use this - it's also referred to as the "Cher Effect"). Daft Punk doesn't use Autotune. They main voice FX they use are vocoders and talkboxes; however, they also use lots of other voice modulation hardware (like in "One More Time," Romanthony's vocals are compressed, etc.). Check out those different effects. Maybe one of them is what you're looking for.
