Electric guitar amp question?!
Question: Ok, full disclosure -- I'm about as dumb as a rock on this topic.
I've studied flamenco guiltar for ten years. The last few months I have developed an interest in playing electric guitar, especially hard rock and metal. I have a 70s-era Fender Strat.
I would be interested in recommendations for an electric guitar amp that is appropriate for practice. I have absolutely no plans on using this amp for public performance. I just want something that sounds good to me in the privacy of my own home, and preferably something that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Forget an amp. At home I use a Digitech rp250 and studio headphones. This sounds soooooo much better than any amp I've ever played.
