Location, cheap drinks, good host, song selection...in that order.
At least, that's how we decide where to go. But if you find a great host, you don't realize how great they were until they're gone. We lost our fav., and now don't go to that bar nearly as much.

The laughter... especially if some people that aren't the best at singing are brave enough to go up to the stage.
