Uh, that's a loaded question. I disagree with the premise.
guys only say what they think is important and girls say whatever comes to mind.
With a lot of guys talking a lot or showing emotions equates them with the status of a woman or homosexual. A lot of them were probably raisd to be manly men and taught that only women chatter all day and go on and on about feelings and such.
Another reason could be that the modern world, im talking post 1970 was all about the empowerment of woman, woman being equal to men, womens independance, and things of that nature. So as a result, the boys and guys were sort of left on the back-burner to fend for themselves and now do not know how to speak up or be heard without being seen as gay or emotional(like a woman).
Maybe because sometimes they stupid. Or maybe they could be shy to talk about girls or talk to girls. I dont really know that is a hard question. Good luck!
