What part of my thumb is suppost to hit the string on a pinch or artificial harm!

Question: i have been trying to learn pinch harmonics for the past few days and i cant get it down. I've got the basic concept, but it just wont make that squealing sound that i want.

Just the very edge that faces the strings. It is tougher on some parts of the fret board than others. Use a lot of gain, and it is easier
