Basically professional screenwriters in the US have never received a great deal of recognition for there work ( or money for that matter!). So it would appear that they have gone on strike until the industry meets their demands for proper accreditation and creative control (and more money!).
This means that film and TV production in the US is a bit up the creak without a paddle for the present. Hope this helps!

Very Good. I had heard that as long as the first and last letter of a word are in the correct place, the brain can unscramble the letters inbetween and read the word correctly. So its true lol
