The South China Mall is the biggest. It has 1500 stores and is over 9.6 million square ft. in size.

It's in Edmonton, Canada...the 2nd largest is Mall of America in Minnesota

How about Amazon? I'm serious. Who says that you have to physically be in a certain place in order to buy a product? Right now you are reading this in a very different location than from where I am writing it. And yet we are both fully interacting.
More thoughts along the same idea:
Where do you receive the most mail these days? In the mailbox or online? So who is the bigger handler of mail, the USPS or sites like Yahoo?
Where do you buy your music now? From a brick and mortar store like Best Buy (not!) or from iTunes or a similar site? So who is bigger? Tower Records went out of business (good riddance) while iTunes is growing larger all the time.
While the Mall of America is HUGE (and they are trying to figure out if they can add on to it), it is only the biggest mall in the US. I've heard the one in Edmonton is larger and there may be larger ones still outside N. America.
