Does emo music officially count as music??!
Question: do they really contribute to the advancement of videos or songs? have they won any prestigious awards? does their sound even count as singing? and why do emo people hate being called emo even when they fit that label perfectly??

It's still music. It's just it's not widely accpeted for example evanescence is SOMEWHAT emo but they are alot better. there is probley a ton of emo music out there but MTV VH1 keep it out because of the fact it's not widely accpted and it's not a good thing to be "emo"
emo music is technically called rock .most rock bands for example devil wears prada,as i lay dying you most likely wont hears on the radio or mtv which is why they dont win noise. nd ll that music is is people sounding like squeeling pigs

Emo is such a bad stereotype. People think that My Chemical Romance are emo and they look emo but if they talk to you they're probably just normal people. They probably don't self harm, they're not depressed, they're just normal humans. I don't believe in the word emo, this isnt a go at you though.x
Well, it does count, but not for long my mom said it will not count in the music for long. because the emos might like be forgetten or something. but yea it counts for now
