Should I make a demo CD?!
Question: Since i was 5, (now 16) its been my life ambition to become a singer. I live in a small city in europe, but i really want to get heard (other than in my school). So Im considering recording a demo cd. I have an amazing recording studio at home, so thats not the problem. But once I have it, where should I send it? Thanks, and any extra tips would help?

Great question! These days, getting heard is easier and harder than ever before. Easier because the internet has opened everything up. Harder because there is so much stuff out there, it's difficult to get people to notice you. The real issue, I think, is deciding what it is you want to be perceived as: singer/songwriter, multi-media artist, vocalist, etc. Maybe find someone with experience to guide you. Choose songs that will highlight that goal. Originals are the way to go for the first category. Tunes that showcase your voice for the last. Next, work on the proper arrangements of the tunes - if they are original, are they polished? After recording, decide what the best way to market them is. Might be live performance - might be Youtube. Most likely a combination of both. Start building a fanbase in your hometown and in a 100km radius. Sell, sell, sell. Get your friends to talk about you everywhere. Give them rewards for sales. Good luck! It's a long road, but a fun one.
yes defenitaely. you can try setting up a concert at school just to get started or maybe like a local business? you can seel ur cd's there
once u make it take it somewhere where there is alot of people and just pass it out. i live in los angeles, california, usa and i see alot of people that do that.
