Chinese food in movies and on TV?!

Question: They always eat Chinese food out of the take-out container on TV or in the movies. Doesn't rice usually come in a separate container? So, when they eat Chinese food out of the box do the characters just eat the main dish without the rice? Just wondering...

I find that unrealistic and kinda stupid. I always put mine on a plate and use a fork. You are correct, the rice always comes in a separate box. Unless of course you have a platter which is not in a box it's in a tray type container and the rice is with the entree.

Another peeve of mine is on TV these large families always have their milk in quarts and ice cream in those tiny pint containers. What couple with a few kids would buy milk and ice cream this way?

The characters can eat the main dish with the rice. Chinese fastfoods sell "bento" boxes which are carton-based square shaped packages containing rice topped with meat/vegetables/egg. They come in handy with disposable chopsticks or sfork (a spoon-shaped fork). Variations of the rice include yang chao rice, chao fan Rice, shanghai rice, garlic rice, etc. Hey, I'm just speculating... :)
