Yes, many of the kids today have a terrible attitude. I think it has a lot to do with being raised in households in which the parents begrudgingly took on the challenge of raising a family...meaning there was no 'family planning' involved. It's usually a one-parent household situation, where that parent is overwhelmed with having to support the family and raise respectable adult(s). Many children's problems are ignored in these situations, and grow up to be adults with massive chips on their shoulders.
It's very sad how the trend continues. So many parents who don't realize that raising a child is a huge ONGOING responsiblity.

Absolutely. I'm a teenager myself, but sometimes the attitude I see in the emerging youth scares me.
I don't think they are different from other generation kids.
I think kids with bad attitudes have grown up and had kids of their own! Just multiplyed the bad attitudes.
Every generation have its own attitude.
Its all the same story, just with different people and different settings.

but its all the younger kids in primary and starting high school that are the problem in my opinion.

my oldest is 13 and if im not careful she will be another me ;)
she is respectful but i find her trying to see how far she can get, so far im lucky, managed to nip the attitude everytime' but i dont dare blink, as for my 9 year old, she is already stubborn as can be, so im gearing up for her to start!

Yes definitely, they do have an attitude. My dad said one time when he was a kid he said a bad word in the dinner table, his dad slapped his mouth so hard that he almost lost all his teeth. My grandfather was Italian. I'm not saying you can do that to your kids. But in the past children used to get punished, and they used to know the word RESPECT. As generations go by, it gets worse and worse. Parents nowadays are so unprepared, or very permissive. Their children have no limits to anything! They throw a fit when they don't get what they want. It takes too much to be a good parent. It takes work, dedication. Some parents don't want to "waste their time" on that. So they let the world mold their children. That's the result.
